Binge Eating, Compulsive Overeating & Night Eating IOP

The mission of Behavioral Nutrition’s Adult & Adolescent IOP Eating Disorder Program is to support adults and adolescents, seeking freedom from the addiction-like behaviors that trigger binge-eating, night eating and compulsive-overeating. Our unique program provides a specialized approach to this group of eating disorders, which we treat clinically and behaviorally differently from other forms of eating disorders. This IOP includes focusing on promoting significant behavioral, nutritional and psychological changes to reduce symptoms and improve overall quality of life, using group work and individual therapy.

Goals for Binge- Eating, Compulsive Overeating & Night Eating IOP:

  • Establish a regular and sustainable eating pattern
  • Stop restricting or dieting and feeling deprived
  • Decrease binge eating, compulsive overeating and any other eating disorder behaviors
  • Recognize unhelpful thinking patterns and learn skills to change them
  • Develop alternative coping and self-soothing skills for relapse prevention
  • Increase self-esteem and interpersonal skills

Adult IOP Requirements:

Female and male, 18 years of age or older, medically stable

Adult IOP Program Hours:

Currently not accepting new Intensive Outpatient Program group patients.


Adolescent IOP Program Hours:

Currently not accepting new Intensive Outpatient Program group patients.

Adolescent IOP Requirements:

Female and male, 12-18 years of age, medically stable


Our specialized IOP nutrition treatment protocols are developed to treat the following populations:

  • Anorexia and Bulimia
  • Binge/Over-Eating and Food Addiction
  • Diabetes and Metabolic Syndrome
  • Pre and Post Weight-Loss Surgery
