Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Behavioral Nutrition Inc., is an individualized Licensed Eating Disorder Facility that integrates a unique expertise in Behavioral Counseling and Medical Nutrition, to treat and support individuals who struggle with eating disorders, poor body image, self-esteem and comorbid mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, trauma and PTSD.

Behavioral Nutrition’s multidisciplinary treatment team includes experienced, specialized clinicians, licensed therapists, psychiatrists, and registered dietitians.

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for Adults and Adolescents:

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for Adults and Adolescents is Eating Disorder and Medical Nutrition Specific. We provide a separate Anorexia & Bulimia IOP from the Bing- Eating Disorder, Diabetes, Metabolic Syndrome and Weight-Loss Surgery IOP.

The intimate size (up to 7 patients) of the IOP groups enables patients to have an individualized approach to their treatment with a more profound connection to the program and staff, promoting long-term behavioral changes and recovery.


Adult IOP Requirements:

Female and male, 18 years of age or older, medically stable

Adult IOP Program Hours:

Patients attend the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for approximately 2-4 weeks

3 Evenings a week, from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.


Adolescent IOP Program Hours:

Patients attend the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for approximately 2-4 weeks

3 Evenings a week, from 2:30 – 5:30 p.m.

Adolescent IOP Requirements:

Female and male, 12-18 years of age, medically stable


Our specialized IOP nutrition treatment protocols are developed to treat the following populations:

  • Anorexia and Bulimia
  • Binge/Over-Eating and Food Addiction
  • Diabetes and Metabolic Syndrome
  • Pre and Post Weight-Loss Surgery
